The Colorado near Kingsland TX

A View of the Colorado River from just outside Kingsland, TX. Among other resources an abundance of granite as well as llanite can be found in the hills here.

In the Spring and Summer, the yucca (pictured) as well as a host of wildflower varieties blanket the hillsides.

A few miles from this site is Longhorn Caverns State Park that over the years gave shelter to Indians, hosted Saturday night dances, and served as the meeting place for Sunday morning church.
