When my Dad was alive he was just sure there would be another "great depression". Thankfully he didn't live to see that, (once was enough I'm sure) but hopefully things won't get like that ever again. Still, I have always felt that being prepared in case of any kind of emergency was a good thing. I am sure it is due in part to my Dad's influence on my life.
I had been wondering how a person might store eggs without the benefit of refrigeration and I ran across these links. I have never tried this but am planning to in the near future.
